Surah Al Hashr Ayat 6 Translation Tafseer

Para 28 - قَدْ سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ

سورة الحشر

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

59.6

وَ مَاۤ اَفَآءَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى رَسُوْلِهٖ مِنْهُمْ فَمَاۤ اَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَیْهِ مِنْ خَیْلٍ وَّ لَا رِكَابٍ وَّ لٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ یُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهٗ عَلٰى مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ(6)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

And whatever ˹spoils˺ Allah has given His Messenger from them; so you did not ride horses or camels for it, nonetheless Allah grants ascendancy to His Messengers over whomsoever He wills. [1] And Allah has power over everything.

Commentary

The purport of this verse is that the Muslims did not have to engage in battle to attain the spoils from Banū Naḍīr. Instead, Allah Almighty granted His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم dominance over them without any fighting. The spoils that were attained were at the Prophet’s disposal—he could spend them wherever he wanted.
